The Running Clinic opened in 1987 as the result of a meeting between a sports Podiatrist and sports footwear consultant and sports coach Bill Greenlees. Both runners themselves realised that many runners found themselves on a medical "merry-go-round" trying to find the basic cause of their injuries. As Bill states, "I became a 1 in 3 runner, i.e. 1 run and 3 weeks rest. So I can identify with injured runners and walkers. My philosophy is to provide patients with the best possible treatment, but have empathy and understanding of their frustrations." |
